In honor of October being National Women’s Small Business Month, Rockland Trust hosted a panel webinar, moderated by Mary Scanlan,

to celebrate local, female business owners!

During the “Businesses Powered by Women" webinar, panelists Erin Baumgartner, Sharon Brewster, and Vannessa Houlihan each provided an enlightening answer to the questions: What led you to become a business owner? Can you describe the path that brought you to where you are today?

The panelists shared their experiences on navigating through the initial financing of their respective businesses, overcoming tough challenges they and their business faced, and work life balance as business owners.

Erin is a self-proclaimed “data geek” who is constantly problem solving. Erin and Tim were the winners of the annual Rockland Trust Small Business, Big Dreams contest in 2020.

Summer Intern Series: Animating Logos

The second type of logo I got the opportunity to work on is the Boston Main streets logo ! So far, the Boston Main streets logo has been the most fun to work with! I felt a lot more freedom and concepts to work with given the different parts, word spacing and the ball icon. It was a great experience getting to sit down and think up different fun ways I could work with the ball and all the letters to have a bit of personality or tell a little story as they dashed across the screen. I ended up with a total of 16 animations for the Boston Main streets logo. here are some of my favorite ones:
